Two shot on the East Bluff on Halloween

November 01, 2016

PEORIA, Ill. -- Two people are hurt after a late night shooting on Peoria’s East Bluff.

Police say ShotSpotter picked up three shots near the intersection of N. Wisconsin and E. Republic around 9:30 Monday night, just after the last trick-or-treaters had gone inside.

They later found two young men, an adult and a juvenile, with gunshot wounds, near a home off of E. Thrush Avenue.

One was shot in the chest. The other was shot in the leg. Both are expected to be okay.

Witnesses tell police a gray van pulled up near a group of people. They say while the van was still moving, a door opened and someone fired multiple shots.

No arrests have been made.
