HARTFORD — Three men were wounded in a shooting on Enfield Street Wednesday night.

The men suffered injuries that police said were not life-threatening. One was taken to Hartford Hospital in a private vehicle, and two were transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

The gunshot wounds were on their arms and shoulders, Sgt. Aaron Boisvert said. The three are in their 20s and are from Hartford, Bloomfield and Windsor.

Police were alerted to the shooting by the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system and several 911 calls shortly before 8:20 p.m., Boisvert said. It happened outside 242 Enfield St., near the intersection with Nelson Street.

The police department's Major Crimes Division and Shooting Task Force are investigating.
