ShotSpotter helps police find shooting victim

Fresno Police find a shooting victim after getting a Shot Spotter alert. It happened at about 1:30 this morning near Dennett and Thorne in West Central Fresno.

Shot Spotter detected five shots being fired. Police also received several calls reporting shots fired and a man hobbling around. Officers found a 45-year-old Varlee Mobler nearby, shot in the lower leg.

The victim reported that a car pulled up as he walked on Dennett and a man got out and shot at him several times.

Mobler is expected to be okay, but is not willing to identify the shooter.
