Peoria Police investigate three Sunday shootings

PEORIA, Ill. -- Police are investigating two early morning shootings. The first happened just before 1:30 on Sunday morning in the 2300 block of North Ellis Street. Police responded to a shotspotter alert in the area.
When police arrived, they found the victim close to where the shotspotter was located. The victim is expected to survive. Details on a suspect weren't immediately available.

Authorities are also investigating another shooting that happened shortly after 1:30 Sunday morning in the 1200 block of Southwest Saint Martin Drive.
The most recent happened in front of a home in the 1800 block of South Stanley.
The Peoria journal star reports police received a call around 3:30 this afternoon regarding a man who had been shot.
The victim's condition and age have not been released.
When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He is expected to survive. Details on a suspect have not been released.
