Dozens of Shell Casings Found In Two Separate Shootings

Police find several shell casings in two separate overnight shootings in Peoria.

Police are investigating two separate shootings in the Peoria area. The first happened around 10:35 p.m Tuesday. in the 800 block of NE Madison Ave. ShotSpotter alerted police to multiple shots fired in the area of the Friendship House. Multiple shell casings were found in the parking lot, and one vehicle did have bullet damage.

The second shooting happened Wednesday just after midnight in the 2100 block of W. Proctor St. When police arrived in the area, they found a group of men sitting on the front porch. One says he heard the shooting in the back alley but didn't see anything. Twenty shell casings were found in the backyard.

Both shooting cases are suspended due to lack of suspects.
