IACP 2016: A preview of ShotSpotter at IACP (Booth #1425)- October 15-18, San Diego, CA

The ShotSpotter team is gearing up for a great IACP conference this year. We have some exciting new things to share with you, so stop by our booth to check out what’s new.

When you step inside the ShotSpotter booth, don’t be surprised when you see a real-life GE Current Street light towering above your head. This streetlight will include a real-time demo, showing how it sends information directly to authorities and first responders – including the precise location of shootings via a ShotSpotter alert. The GE Current team will also be on hand to talk about how GE Current and ShotSpotter are doing some innovative work around making cities safer.

On the heels of our release of ShotSpotter Mobile™, we will demo the new ShotSpotter Mobile ™ app on a host of devices. The new app runs on iOS or Android, so be sure to try it out on whichever device you use.

When you’re done with these demos, talk with our security team – who will share information on how college campuses are adopting gunfire detection (ShotSpotter SecureCampus) into their schools, including how Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and Edward Waters College have implemented ShotSpotter into their overall safety programs.

On Monday, ShotSpotter will be presenting at the IACP Solutions Theater in Exhibit #2651 at 11AM-Join us! Ron Teachman, former Chief of South Bend and ShotSpotter's current Director of Midwest Public Safety Solutions will moderate an engaging group of Chiefs around Driving Measurable Gun Violence Reductions-Best Practices and Successes. You’ll hear their best practices and successes around reducing gunfire in their cities. You won’t want to miss hearing from these impressive chiefs:

Chief Allwyn Brown, Richmond, CA

• Chief Scott Ruszkowski, South Bend, IN

• Chief Sam Somers, Sacramento, CA

• Chief Clarence D. Williams, Riviera Beach, FL

On Tuesday, Mark Jones, our ShotSpotter Customer Success Senior Director will appear on a panel, Gun Violence: A Three-Pronged Attack hosted by GunOps featuring ShotSpotter, New Jersey State Police and ShotCaller. Pete Gagliardi from Triple Barrell Strategies, LLC., moderates the panel.

And… remember that every day at our booth, you can enter a drawing to win a FitBit exercise tracker. You’ll also have an opportunity to enter our grand drawing for an Amazon Echo! Don’t miss the chance to win!

We look forward to seeing you!
