The ShotSpotter Public Safety Console (PSC) is the culmination of ShotSpotter's industry-leading experience and extensive customer usability research. The streamlined user interface that improves the efficiency of end-users so that they can react quickly, appropriately, and decisively to gunfire incidents.
As the system’s user interface, the ShotSpotter PSC is a highly visible component. Purpose built to support typical communications and dispatch operations, the ShotSpotter PSC is an advanced, comprehensive alerting and reporting portal with rich but easy-to-use interface. Designed to serve the needs of all agency departments, the ShotSpotter PSC provides dispatchers, commanders, detectives, investigators, crime analysts, prosecutors, and other members of law enforcement and security teams with real-time and ongoing intelligence, analytics, and forensic data to efficiently and effectively fight crime and maintain security.
Alerting
- Highly visible alert status screen allowing alerts to be readily seen at a distance
- Unacknowledged gunfire incidents are highlighted in red so dispatchers can focus on the most important incidents first
- Audio Annunciation (audio alert) in addition to the visual alerts draws attention to newly received and unacknowledged incidents
Easy to Use Interface
- Large map area, with standard tools & controls allows end-users to provide clear directions to responding officers
- Incidents are separated into unacknowledged and acknowledged lists to streamline viewing
- The PSC display automatically selects the appropriate map image to display where each incident occurred
- The PSC can be automatically updated, removing the tedious burden to manually update individual workstations and or mobile data computers.
System Scalability
- Any number of PSC and PSC-Mobile clients can be installed
- Agencies may expand their coverage areas, even if the areas are not geographically adjacent
Event and Data Access
- Flexible filtering, searching, and sorting of unacknowledged incidents grants timely access to invaluable historical data

- The ShotSpotter Public Safety Console automatically reconnects upon network restoration and resumes normal operation
