ShotSpotter Customer Results
Real Results, Real Communities, Real Fast.
Since 1995, a growing number of cities and counties nationwide have chosen to deploy ShotSpotter Gunshot Location System (GLS) solutions. Police have credited ShotSpotter GLS solutions with hundreds of arrests and weapons seized, tens of lives saved, and reductions in homicides, gun violence (as high as 40% in coverage areas), and random gunfire (as high as 60-80%).
ShotSpotter GLS solutions have been used successfully by the FBI in domestic terrorism investigations and materially facilitated the arrest of the Ohio Highway “active shooter” in 2003-2004. In addition, forensic data provided by the ShotSpotter GLS data has been used in court to strengthen prosecutions.
One of the most impressive capabilities of the ShotSpotter GLS solutions, is that they can provide quick results. Many of our customers were finding victims and potentially saving lives within hours of deploying their systems.
