Features of the Public Safety Console User Interface

Version-6 of the ShotSpotter Public Safety Console (PSC) is the culmination of ShotSpotter's industry leading experience and extensive customer usability research. The streamlined user interface that improves the efficiency of end-users so that they can react quickly, appropriately, and decisively to gunfire incidents

Alerting

  • Highly visible alert status screen allowing alerts to be readily seen at a distance
  • Unacknowledged gunfire incidents are highlighted in red so dispatchers can focus on the most important incidents first
  • Audio Annunciation (audio alert) in addition to the visual alerts draws attention to newly received and unacknowledged incidents

Easy to Use Interface

  • Large map area, with standard tools & controls allows end-users to provide clear directions to responding officers
  • Incidents are separated into unacknowledged and acknowledged lists to streamline viewing
  • The PSC display automatically selects the appropriate map image to display where each incident occurred
  • The PSC can be automatically updated, removing the tedious burden to manually update individual workstations and or mobile data computers.

ShotSpotter User Console for Mobile (PSC-M)

System Components:

The ShotSpotter System consists of the following components

  • Wired or wireless sensors
  • Installation, training, acceptance testing, site and radio frequency (RF) survey
  • ShotSpotter Location Server site license, including necessary third-party components
  • Public Safety Console (PCS) - 2 licenses (includes mapping and intelligence)
  • Optional Configurations include coverage for additional square miles and additional PCS licenses
  • In addition, ShotSpotter offers data archival for up to minimum of five years typical
