ShotSpotter Bolsters Executive Team with Vice President of Sales
Mountain View, CA – December 13, 2004 — ShotSpotter, Inc., the country's leading developer of gunshot location systems and technology, today announced that Jack Pontious has joined the company as vice president of Sales, and will be based in the Washington, D.C. area.
Mr. Pontious brings 20 years of consultative sales, sales management, program management, marketing and channel development experience in the government, financial, telecommunications and technology sectors to ShotSpotter. He is a proven performer in bringing new and innovative technologies out of the research and development stage and getting the technology into the hands of the people who need it most, the "first responder." He has successfully co-founded and taken to profitability both Brokerage and Internet Service Provider businesses and was responsible for all sales, product marketing, branding, alliances and communications programs.

Mr. Pontious will be responsible for expanding ShotSpotter's current presence in the Department of Defense as well as throughout federal, state and local law enforcement agencies through increased direct sales, partnerships with leading law enforcement technology companies, and increased visibility through an aggressive marketing campaign.

Mr. Pontious is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
