SHOTSPOTTER, INC. NAMES SECURITY INDUSTRY VETERAN AS VICE PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL PROGRAMS
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — April 22, 2009 — ShotSpotter, Inc., the leading developer of mission-essential acoustic surveillance systems for law enforcement, homeland security and military end-users, announced today that Edward J. Jopeck has been named vice president of federal programs. Jopeck will be responsible for leading the development of new product solutions for the homeland security and national security sectors.

With over 20 years of experience in supporting national security programs, Jopeck is a recognized expert in security risk management, antiterrorism and homeland security with broad experience supporting federal, state, local and private sector clients. Since 2003 he has served as a security risk management consultant to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, leading the development of strategic-level antiterrorism risk management methods to improve the protection of critical infrastructures and special events from terrorist attack.

Prior to ShotSpotter, Jopeck worked as the Director of Security Risk Management Programs at SRA International (NYSE:SRX), where he oversaw security analysis, risk assessment, risk management, intelligence and infrastructure protection projects.
In addition to being the author of numerous articles, lectures and training courses on security, antiterrorism and counterintelligence risk assessment, he currently serves on the board of directors of the Security Analysis and Risk Management Association (SARMA) and is the organization’s Founder and its Immediate Past President.
