ShotSpotter nabs woman on drugs firing

New Haven, CT -- A woman was arrested for firing a firearm while under a hallucinogenic substance after ShotSpotter reported hearing gunshots in the Munson Street area of New Haven.

Police responded to the scene to find Jennifer Burridge, 32, of West Haven, with a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol in her hand. Officers demanded she dropped her weapon and she complied.

She was then arrested and taken into custody. Burridge had a large amount of "Illy" in her possession, of which she appeared to be heavily under the influence of.

Burridge was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm under the influence, illegal possession of hallucinogenic substances and other related charges.
