Police say a program aimed at reducing crime is doing its job.

In April crews installed the Shot Spotter System of eight cameras and 50 rooftop sensors around the city. When shots are fired the sensors point the cameras in the direction of the scene, giving police the exact address of the crime

Since the installation police say they're responding to fewer shots fired calls.

The Shot Spotter System also detects things like fireworks.
