World Leader in Gunshot Detection
Police say a 22-year-old Omaha man was injured Monday afternoon in a shooting in north Omaha.
About 5:30 p.m., ShotSpotter indicated gunfire near 30th and Sprague Streets. While officers arrived in the vicinity, Douglas County 911 emergency dispatchers received a call on a shooting victim at 33rd and Fowler Streets.
Police said the victim said he was in a vehicle in the area of 30th and Sprague when someone in another vehicle fired at him.
The victim was taken Creighton University Medical Center. His injuries were not considered life threatening, authorities said.
